Build: 665 Release Notes

Summary:

This release of OrgPlus is version 7.1.1. It includes several new features and resolves issues as described below.

Enhancements/Resolved Issues:

  • Publish to PDF: OrgPlus 7 now enables you to specify the scale factor for charts published to PDF. This enables you to maintain box sizing when publishing multiple OPX files.
  • Publish to PowerPoint: OrgPlus 7 now enables you to specify the scale factor for charts published to PowerPoint. This enables you to maintain box sizing when publishing multiple OPX files.
  • Publish to Word: OrgPlus 7 now enables you to specify the scale factor for charts published to Word. This enables you to maintain box sizing when publishing multiple OPX files.
  • Publish to Printer: OrgPlus 7 now enables you to specify the scale factor for charts published to the Printer. This enables you to maintain box sizing when publishing multiple OPX files.
  • OrgPlus Plug-in MSI: Download the OrgPlus Plug-in MSI file to distribute the OrgPlus Plug-in using your company's group policy.
  • SAP Import: OrgPlus 7 now support non-standard SAP relationships for OrgUnits, People and Positions.
  • SAP Import: OrgPlus 7 now supports undefined relationships resulting from queries on sub-sets of SAP organisational structures.
  • SAP Import: OrgPlus 7 now includes support for SAP HR-OCI 6.0.
  • Publish to HTML: Connecting lines in charts published to HTML no longer break before connecting to boxes.
  • E-mail Groups: The 'To:', 'Cc:' and 'Bcc:' fields can now be correctly populated using the group list.
  • E-mail Groups: The 'To:' field now correctly displays the current group name when e-mailing a group while viewing a group.

Known Issues and Limitations:

  • Publish to PowerPoint: The scale factor cannot be specified when inserting an object in charts published to PowerPoint.
  • Publish to Word: The scale factor cannot be specified when inserting an object in charts published to Word.

Summary:

This release of OrgPlus is version 7.1. It includes several new features and resolves numerous issues as described below.

Enhancements/Resolved Issues:

  • Chart Properties: You can now remove the expand/collapse (+/-) icons from within boxes.
  • Box Sizing: You now have more control over how boxes are sized within your charts. For example, a minimum and maximum width can be specified for any set of boxes within your chart.
  • Publish to Word: You can now publish charts directly to Word 2007 format. Publishing to Microsoft Word 2007 is up to 50 times faster than publishing to older versions of Microsoft Word.
  • Publish to PowerPoint: You can now publish charts directly to PowerPoint 2007 format. Publishing to Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 is up to 50 times faster than publishing to older versions of Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Compare Charts: You can now include chart comments in your compare charts reports.
  • Import Data: You can now opt to use only the first row of a data source to determine field types. This speeds import for larger data sets.
  • Picture Properties: Improved control of picture and frame sizing.
  • Save Settings: You can now optionally remove all comments from a project when saving.
  • Chart Rules: You can now create a copy of an existing chart rule. This is helpful if you are creating many rules with similar criteria or actions.
  • Box Layout: You can now insert AutoText elements in box layouts.
  • SAP Import: You can now import a position to position hierarchy from SAP.
  • Search Panel: Search button no longer is cut-off or removed when search panel is resized.
  • Orphan Handling: Orphan hierarchies are now correctly maintained during data refresh.
  • Master Page: Logos inserted on the Master Page can no longer be deleted from the Normal view.
  • Publisher: Chart styles are no longer altered when publishing charts via the Publisher.
  • Publish to PowerPoint: Fixed width box sizes are now correctly maintained when publishing to PowerPoint.
  • Publish to Plug-in: Updated code signing signature for Plugin.cab file for plug-in distribution from an internal network.
  • Publish to Plug-in: The Send to Excel button is now removed from the Sub-chart panel when the Send to Excel option is turned off in the publishing options.
  • Publish to Plug-in: Resolved issue with OrgPlus Plug-in incorrectly interpreting URL parameters.
  • Publish to HTML: The Index panel no longer contains duplicate entries for top positions in each sub-chart.
  • Publish to HTML: Pictures in profile now correctly display even if the pictures are not included in the box layout.
  • Publish to HTML: Sub-charts are now correctly displayed when using the Fit to Window zoom setting.
  • Import Data: Field types are correctly assigned when importing data without a hierarchy.
  • Templates: Saving a template file when a single box is selected on the chart now correctly saves the entire chart as a template instead of only saving the selection as a template.
  • Formulas: Year/Month/Day formula results no longer round to the nearest whole number by default.
  • Ruler: The ruler correctly increments when zooming using the mouse wheel.
  • Profiles: Added Format command to the context menu in the Profile Settings dialog.
  • Box Properties: Truncate text for fixed size boxes checkbox is now checked by default.

Known Issues and Limitations:

  • Chart Properties: Uniform box sizing only applies to a single sub-chart when used without a specified maximum width.

Summary:

This release of OrgPlus is version 7.0.1. It includes several new features and resolves numerous issues as described below.

Enhancements/Resolved Issues:

  • Application Performance: Improved overall system performance. Significant performance increases were made in working with large charts (opening charts, changing windows, moving branches) and publishing to OrgPlus Plug-in and PDF.
  • Find/Replace: You can now replace all empty field values in a chart with a single click using the 'Replace blank fields' option.
  • Push Data: You can now automatically send an OPX file to a remote location on a scheduled basis.
  • Project Properties: You can now lock the field definitions for a Project to prevent other users from adding, modifying or deleting field definitions.
  • Import Data: Enhanced automatic detection of hierarchy during data import.
  • Import Data: Enhanced automatic detection of 'Name' field during data import.
  • Import Data: Resolved OrgPlus crash when importing Excel files with date columns.
  • Publish to HTML: Resolved runtime errors occurring when publishing charts to HTML.
  • Publish to Plug-in: Resolved IE 7 crash resulting from using the Search panel in OrgPlus Plug-in with large charts with linked photos.
  • Publish to Plug-in: Resolved search panel failing to perform search when viewing charts published to OrgPlus Plug-in via a company portal.
  • Publish to PDF: Resolved contents page preview in the publishing wizard failing to show changes made to contents page.
  • Command Line: Enhanced publishing via command line to optimise branch styles in published charts.
  • Office Integration: Features that require Microsoft Office are now disabled when OrgPlus is installed on a computer that does not have Microsoft Office.
  • Office integration: Resolved conflict between OrgPlus 7 and Microsoft PowerPoint 2000; after uninstalling OrgPlus 7, OLE charts created with Microsoft PowerPoint 2000 can be edited using Microsoft PowerPoint 200. OLE charts created with OrgPlus 7 cannot be edited after OrgPlus 7 is uninstalled.
  • Office integration: Resolved conflict between OrgPlus 7 Reader and Microsoft PowerPoint 2000; after installing OrgPlus 7 Reader, OLE charts created with Microsoft PowerPoint 2000 can be edited using Microsoft PowerPoint 2000.
  • Comments: You can how hide individual comments using the context menu.
  • Templates: Resolved chart rules failing to apply when template files are applied.
  • Templates: Enhanced Apply Template File dialog to support applying box templates.
  • Print: Resolved linked pictures in sub-charts not printing if the sub-chart has not been viewed in OrgPlus.
  • Hotspots: Resolved incorrect hotspot showing when using HTML profiles in hotspots.
  • Consolidation: Resolved loss of sub-charts during refresh of consolidated charts.
  • Panels: Resolved disappearance of panels on certain systems.
  • Box Layout: Enhanced automatic field formatting inheritance in box layout.
  • Multi-Record Boxes: Resolved font changing when moving multi-record boxes on the chart.
  • Multi-Record Boxes: You can now select all single record boxes or multi-record boxes from the Edit menu.
  • Multi-Record Boxes: Multi-Record Boxes now correctly display the changes resulting from refreshing the data.

Known Issues and Limitations:

  • Publish to HTML: Cell borders are not visible in charts published to HTML if the 'Ignore Margins' checkbox is set in the OPX file.
  • Chart Properties: Only default sub-chart arrow labels are available in Windows 2000.
  • Publish to Plug-in: Send to Excel in OrgPlus Plug-in causes an "Excel Error" in charts published to OrgPlus Plug-in with the 'Automatically Activate ActiveX Control' checkbox on.

Summary:

This release of OrgPlus 7 resolves an issue that arose when evaluating OrgPlus 7 when no internet connection is detected or when evaluating the software from behind a firewall or proxy server. This release also resolves an issue encountered when installing OrgPlus 7 from a CD.

Enhancements/Resolved Issues:

  • Evaluation: OrgPlus 7 evaluation registration can now be completed even if no internet connection is detected.
  • Install: OrgPlus 7 can now be installed from a CD automatically.
